Vision Statement

The vision of Destiny Productions Theater Ensemble is to become a catalyst for societal and behavioral change through faith-based and arts based theatrical performances.

Philosophy

It is the belief of Destiny Productions Theater Ensemble that effective change can be achieved in the lives of diverse populations through exposure to theatrical performances that not only give voice to social issues in an impacting manner, but also offer viable solutions within a theatrical format. It is further believed that by incorporating the skills of inner-city youths, their lives can be enriched and enhanced through artistic outreach experiences.

Mission Statement

To creatively implement artistic productions based upon prevalent issues impacting inner-city families in order to identify, implement and refine faith-based and arts based solutions to promote greater understanding and provide much needed information to help individuals achieve improved lives. It is also the mission of the project to foster desirable participant outcomes and opportunities to become culturally and behaviorally well-rounded contributors to society.

Ruth C. Chapman – Founder/Writer/Director

Ruth C. Chapman is a published writer, presenter and dramatist. She is the founder of Destiny Productions. She has received degrees in Education and Counseling from Cheyney State University, University of Dayton, and Grace College. She is the recipient of numerous awards and has served as an officer with numerous prestigious organizations. She is the mother of three wonderful adult children.

Malaina A. Hatcher – Producer/ Manager

Malaina A. Hatcher has served as a mentor, role model and community leader, and has provided case management services for numerous organizations. She earned a degree in Criminal Justice from Kutztown University, attended Berean Institute where she received a Pennsylvania State License in Cosmetology. Her interests and skills have allowed her to find success as a model, cosmetologist and entrepreneur.
